The Washington Redskins say the team’s new linebackers coach will be Lou Spanos, who spent the past 15 seasons as a defensive assistant with Pittsburgh. The Redskins also said Saturday that Kirk Olivadotti will move from that position to become the team’s defensive assistant. He has been with the team since 2000, serving in several coaching capacities.

The Cleveland Browns have fired Mike Keenan, the team’s president before Mike Holmgren was hired earlier this month. Team spokesman Neal Gulkis confirmed Keenan’s dismissal Saturday. Keenan had joined the Browns in 2006 after serving on the NFL management council. He was promoted to president in 2008.

With thoughts of Haiti on his mind,
Pierre Garcon was able to contribute 5 catches for 34 yards. More importantly, he made a huge play on Peyton Manning’s interception by not giving up and following the play and catching up to Ed Reed to force a fumble and get the ball back.
