Browns Fire Top Executive Mike Keenan

The Cleveland Browns have fired Mike Keenan, the team’s president before Mike Holmgren was hired earlier this month. Team spokesman Neal Gulkis confirmed Keenan’s dismissal Saturday. Keenan had joined the Browns in 2006 after serving on the NFL management council. He was promoted to president in 2008.

Seahawks Add Alex Gibbs To Staff

A person familiar with the decision says Houston Texans assistant head coach Alex Gibbs has agreed to join Pete Carroll’s Seahawks staff. The person spoke Tuesday to The Associated Press on the condition of anonymity because the Seahawks have not finalized the contract. Adding the 68-year-old Gibbs is a coup for Carroll.
