Monday, January 4th, 2010

POST-SEASON FANTASY FOOTBALL FREEZE OUT

It’s called the Post-Season Fantasy Football Freeze Out. I’m quite sure you’ve heard about it… the only post-season fantasy football league you need to play in. This is our 5th year to hold the Freeze Out competition and each year it’s been more and more successful. Every year we get more and more participation and that allows us to raise the prize money even more. How many contests do you know that pay out the TOP 20 place finishers? That’s right… no matter if we have 50 or 500 participants, we’re paying out the top 20 winners… and the prize money WON’T CHANGE!!

Here are the details:

PRIZES

Entry fee: $15

1st place: $1,000 cash!

2nd place: $500 cash!

3rd place: $150

4th - 10th: $50

11th - 20th: $25

THE GAME

You will choose twelve post-season NFL players, and you will choose wisely, because there will be no roster moves or lineup changes allowed after the games have started on Wild Card Weekend!

During the NFL playoffs, your players will accumulate fantasy points according to the scoring system detailed below. When a team washes out of the playoffs, you’re stuck with the players from that team on your roster for the rest of the contest! The team that compiles the most total points over the course of the regular season is declared the winner.

Play starts Wildcard Weekend and goes through the Super Bowl. The entry deadline is fifteen minutes before the first game on Saturday, January 9, 2010. Rosters will lock five minutes before the first game on January 9, and they will remain locked through the Super Bowl. If one of your players drops out of the playoffs or underperforms or gets injured or benched, you will NOT be allowed to replace him.

You may JOIN NOW and change your roster as many times as you wish right up until five minutes before the first game of Wildcard Weekend.

You may enter as many times as you wish, but you must pay the entry fee each time!

You will choose the following players for your roster:

2 quarterbacks

3 running backs

4 wide receivers

1 tight ends

1 kicker

1 defenses/special teams

TIEBREAKERS

First tiebreaker: Guess the total points scored by the two NFL teams in the Super Bowl.

QB1 (Player; Team; Year-to-Date Stats; Opponent)

D. McNabb-Philadelphia (2,189yds 15tds 6ints) @ Atlanta

The loss of D. Jackson will hurt his big play potential, but McNabb never had a problem spreading the ball around.

WEEKLY RANK@FANTASYFOOTBALL.COM- 9    NFL.COM-9     ESPN-8     CBSSPORTS-7     FOXSPORTS-8

A.Rodgers-Green Bay (3,136yds 22tds 5ints)  vs. Baltimore

If it weren’t for all the QBs having such big years, Rodgers would be mentioned in the MVP race with his numbers.

WEEKLY RANK@FANTASYFOOTBALL.COM- 5    NFL.COM-3     ESPN-7     CBSSPORTS-8     FOXSPORTS-7

P. Rivers-San Diego (2,938yds 19tds 6ints) @ Cleveland

L. Tomlinson’s effectiveness in the red zone is cutting down on Rivers using play action near the goal line.

WEEKLY RANK@FANTASYFOOTBALL.COM-8     NFL.COM-7     ESPN-6     CBSSPORTS-4     FOXSPORTS-5

M. Schaub-Houston (3,242yds 21tds 11ints) @ Jacksonville

The Jaguars secondary is giving up a lot of QB points, and Schaub lit them up in the first meeting.

WEEKLY RANK@FANTASYFOOTBALL.COM-4     NFL.COM-5     ESPN-5     CBSSPORTS-5     FOXSPORTS-4

QB2

T. Brady-New England (3,049yds 20tds 6ints) @ Miami

This is going to be a big rebound game for the Patriots, so I am expecting at least 4 TDs on Sunday.

WEEKLY RANK@FANTASYFOOTBALL.COM-6     NFL.COM-1     ESPN-4     CBSSPORTS-1     FOXSPORTS-3

P. Manning-Indianapolis (3,415yds 24tds 11ints) vs. Tennessee

Tennessee’s defense is improving especially in the secondary, but Manning can throw on anyone.

WEEKLY RANK@FANTASYFOOTBALL.COM-3     NFL.COM-2     ESPN-2     CBSSPORTS- 2    FOXSPORTS-1

T. Romo-Dallas (2,933yds 17tds 7ints) @ NY Giants

Romo has been hit and miss of late, and the Giants are in must win mode at home.

D. Brees-New Orleans (2,746yds. 22tds 9ints) @ Washington

I am expecting Brees to let off the gas in this game, and let the defense and run game do the work.

WEEKLY RANK@FANTASYFOOTBALL.COM-1     NFL.COM-4     ESPN-1     CBSSPORTS-6     FOXSPORTS-2

QB3

J. Cutler-Chicago (2,671yds 16tds 20ints) vs. St. Louis

This is the type of opponent that you would expect Cutler to have a recovery week.

WEEKLY RANK@FANTASYFOOTBALL.COM-14     NFL.COM-10     ESPN-13     CBSSPORTS-12     FOXSPORTS-13

J. Flacco-Baltimore (2,744yds 13tds 8ints) @ Green Bay

A very important matchup for an inter-conference game with both teams needing wins.

WEEKLY RANK@FANTASYFOOTBALL.COM-18     NFL.COM-20     ESPN-20     CBSSPORTS-18     FOXSPORTS-22

M. Hasselbeck-Seattle (1,955yds 11tds 7ints) vs. San Francisco

Another matchup where the loser is done, so expect a good game from Hasselbeck against a weak secondary.

WEEKLY RANK@FANTASYFOOTBALL.COM-21     NFL.COM-17     ESPN-14     CBSSPORTS-11     FOXSPORTS-15

K. Orton-Denver (2,447yds 12tds 6ints) @ Kansas City

The Chiefs have given up big passing days to everyone, but Orton is still not a sure thing.

WEEKLY RANK@FANTASYFOOTBALL.COM-17     NFL.COM-15     ESPN-15     CBSSPORTS-13     FOXSPORTS-14

RB1

A.Peterson-Minnesota (1.084yds 12tds 27 rec. 233 rec. yds) @ Arizona

Peterson somehow has ended up the second option in Minnesota, but he is still poised to explode for 200.

WEEKLY RANK@FANTASYFOOTBALL.COM-7     NFL.COM-3     ESPN-3     CBSSPORTS-6     FOXSPORTS-2

R. Williams-Miami (792yds 11tds 20 rec. 212 rec. yds 2tds) vs. New England

The wildcat has lost some teeth without Brown, but that has still meant good things for R. William’s owners.

WEEKLY RANK@FANTASYFOOTBALL.COM-10     NFL.COM-10     ESPN-9     CBSSPORTS-20     FOXSPORTS-12

M. Jones-Drew-Jacksonville (1,001yds 13tds 41 rec. 273 rec. yds) vs. Houston

He will be looking to rebound from a less than spectacular performance last week.

WEEKLY RANK@FANTASYFOOTBALL.COM-5     NFL.COM-2     ESPN-2     CBSSPORTS-2     FOXSPORTS-1

C. Johnson-Tennessee (1,396yds 9tds 33 rec. 294 rec. yds 1 rec. td) @ Indianapolis

This guy gets one 80 yard td run per game anymore. How could you go wrong?

WEEKLY RANK@FANTASYFOOTBALL.COM-1     NFL.COM-1     ESPN-1     CBSSPORTS-1     FOXSPORTS-3

RB2

F. Gore-San Francisco (643yds 6tds 36 rec. 234 rec. yds 3 rec. tds) @ Seattle

He tore up Seattle for 200 plus earlier in the year, but the Seahawks are a different team at home

WEEKLY RANK@FANTASYFOOTBALL.COM-2     NFL.COM-5     ESPN-8     CBSSPORTS-9     FOXSPORTS-5

R. Rice-Baltimore (821yds 6tds 61 rec. 582 rec. yds 1 rec. td) @ Green Bay

Rice has been this year’s Brian Westbrook with all the action he is getting in the passing game

WEEKLY RANK@FANTASYFOOTBALL.COM-4     NFL.COM-7     ESPN-6     CBSSPORTS-11     FOXSPORTS-7

D. Williams-Carolina (1,022yds 7tds 26 rec. 234 rec. yds) vs. Tampa Bay

The Panthers will be even more determined to run with M. Moore taking over at QB, and this is a great matchup.

WEEKLY RANK@FANTASYFOOTBALL.COM-6     NFL.COM-4     ESPN-5     CBSSPORTS-3     FOXSPORTS-4

S. Jackson-St. Louis (1,120yds 4tds 40 rec. 258 rec. yds) @ Chicago

It seems like I say this every week, if he could just get TDs, he would be on top of the rankings.

WEEKLY RANK@FANTASYFOOTBALL.COM-3     NFL.COM-11     ESPN-11     CBSSPORTS-7     FOXSPORTS-9

RB3

J. Charles-Kansas City (406yds 2tds 26 rec. 215 rec. yds 1 rec. tds) vs. Denver

He has become the Chiefs #1 weapon with D. Bowe on suspension.

WEEKLY RANK@FANTASYFOOTBALL.COM-11     NFL.COM-22     ESPN-20     CBSSPORTS-18     FOXSPORTS-27

J. Forsett-Seattle (385yds 4tds 29 rec. 246 rec. yds) vs. San Francisco

How can they even consider starting J. Jones with Forsett playing the way he is.

WEEKLY RANK@FANTASYFOOTBALL.COM-9     NFL.COM-18     ESPN-21     CBSSPORTS-16     FOXSPORTS-24

L. McCoy-Philadelphia (528yds 3tds 27 rec. 206 rec. yds) @ Atlanta

It looks like he should be holding down this job for a while with Westbrook seeing more specialists.

WEEKLY RANK@FANTASYFOOTBALL.COM-19     NFL.COM-14     ESPN-13     CBSSPORTS-17     FOXSPORTS-19

K. Smith-Detroit (603yds 3tds 37 rec. 367 rec. yds 1 rec. tds) @ Cincinnati

The Bengals have been dominant on defense, but I can see Smith getting enough looks in the passing game.

WEEKLY RANK@FANTASYFOOTBALL.COM-26     NFL.COM-24     ESPN-26     CBSSPORTS-28     FOXSPORTS-31

WR1

R. Moss-New England (63 rec. 925yds 8tds) @ Miami

I am expecting a big game from Brady which means plenty of Mr. Moss.

WEEKLY RANK@FANTASYFOOTBALL.COM-2     NFL.COM-3     ESPN-2     CBSSPORTS-2     FOXSPORTS-1

R. Wayne-Indianapolis (79 rec. 987yds 9tds) vs. Tennessee

He has a tough matchup, but that doesn’t always stop Wayne from getting 100 and a TD.

WEEKLY RANK@FANTASYFOOTBALL.COM-1     NFL.COM-4     ESPN-3     CBSSPORTS-3     FOXSPORTS-2

A.Johnson-Houston (63 rec. 945yds 5tds) @ Jacksonville

He should be very dangerous this week with the Jaguars best CB on the shelf again.

WEEKLY RANK@FANTASYFOOTBALL.COM-5     NFL.COM-1     ESPN-1     CBSSPORTS-1     FOXSPORTS-4

L. Fitzgerald-Arizona (75 rec. 826yds 9tds) vs. Minnesota

He really suffered not having Warner last week, so keep an eye on his status.

WEEKLY RANK@FANTASYFOOTBALL.COM-3     NFL.COM-2     ESPN-6     CBSSPORTS-8     FOXSPORTS-3

WR2

V. Jackson-San Diego (49 rec. 815yds 7tds) @ Cleveland

Jackson is losing production like Rivers with the emerging defense and ground game.

WEEKLY RANK@FANTASYFOOTBALL.COM-10     NFL.COM-8     ESPN-7     CBSSPORTS-12     FOXSPORTS-7

D. Driver-Green Bay (53 rec. 845yds 5tds) vs. Baltimore

Driver just blew up on Thanksgiving Day, and he continues to be Rodgers favorite threat.

WEEKLY RANK@FANTASYFOOTBALL.COM-7     NFL.COM-16     ESPN-11     CBSSPORTS-14     FOXSPORTS-22

B. Marshall-Denver (58 rec. 714yds 6tds)  @ Kansas City

Has returned to last season’s form and continues to make great catches weekly.

WEEKLY RANK@FANTASYFOOTBALL.COM-6     NFL.COM-10     ESPN-9     CBSSPORTS-6     FOXSPORTS-11

S. Rice-Minnesota (56 rec. 964yds 4tds) @ Arizona

Even without top flight speed, Rice has been getting plenty of downfield opportunities.

WEEKLY RANK@FANTASYFOOTBALL.COM-13     NFL.COM-5     ESPN-5     CBSSPORTS-4     FOXSPORTS-9

WR3

C. Ochocinco-Cincinnati (53 rec. 773yds 5tds) vs. Detroit

A great matchup has him way up in the rankings, but this could be more of a Cedric Benson day.

WEEKLY RANK@FANTASYFOOTBALL.COM-4     NFL.COM-7     ESPN-4     CBSSPORTS-11     FOXSPORTS-5

D. Mason-Baltimore (52 rec. 734yds 5tds) @ Green Bay

He still got loads of targets from Flacco, even after they vowed to get more receivers involved last week.

WEEKLY RANK@FANTASYFOOTBALL.COM-19     NFL.COM-31     ESPN-23     CBSSPORTS-15     FOXSPORTS-21

M. Austin-Dallas (42 rec. 824yds 8tds) @ NY Giants

For some reason, I expect Romo to have a poor performance, because the Cowboys have too much to gain.

WEEKLY RANK@FANTASYFOOTBALL.COM-9     NFL.COM-9     ESPN-14     CBSSPORTS-9     FOXSPORTS-12

H. Ward-Pittsburgh (66 rec. 845yds 5tds) vs. Oakland

How much will the Steelers need or want to throw with Big Ben coming back from concussion?

WEEKLY RANK@FANTASYFOOTBALL.COM-21     NFL.COM-20     ESPN-15     CBSSPORTS-19     FOXSPORTS-15

WR4

M. Massaquoi-Cleveland (26 rec. 485yds 1td) vs. San Diego

Not much to cheer about in Cleveland, but they still have to play, and someone has to get some stats.

WEEKLY RANK@FANTASYFOOTBALL.COM-60     NFL.COM-NR     ESPN-NR     CBSSPORTS-NR     FOXSPORTS-62

A.Bryant-Tampa Bay (22 rec. 360yds 3tds) @ Carolina

Bryant caught fire at this point last season, but that was with a veteran QB.

WEEKLY RANK@FANTASYFOOTBALL.COM-40     NFL.COM-43     ESPN-40     CBSSPORTS-43     FOXSPORTS-57

D. Avery-St. Louis (34 rec. 466yds 5tds) @ Chicago

It won’t be as easy of a day for Avery as it was for the Vikings WRs last week.

WEEKLY RANK@FANTASYFOOTBALL.COM-38     NFL.COM-34     ESPN-37     CBSSPORTS-33     FOXSPORTS-31

M. Crabtree-San Francisco (26 rec. 346yds 1td)  @ Seattle

He is the second option behind V. Davis, but he has been catching about 4 balls a game

WEEKLY RANK@FANTASYFOOTBALL.COM-34     NFL.COM-28     ESPN-24     CBSSPORTS-24     FOXSPORTS-35

TE1

K. Winslow-Tampa Bay (54 rec. 564yds 5tds) @ Carolina

Having a very solid season despite a rookie QB plus A. Bryant’s return could free things up.

WEEKLY RANK@FANTASYFOOTBALL.COM-6     NFL.COM-9     ESPN-10     CBSSPORTS-6     FOXSPORTS-10

J. Witten-Dallas (59 rec. 588yds 1tds) @ NY Giants

Just depressing the amount of attention Witten gets from defenses in the red zone

WEEKLY RANK@FANTASYFOOTBALL.COM-5     NFL.COM-5     ESPN-6     CBSSPORTS-7     FOXSPORTS-4

G. Olsen-Chicago (47 rec. 448yds 6tds) vs. St. Louis

The best target for Cutler with this teams lack of any consistent WR threat.

WEEKLY RANK@FANTASYFOOTBALL.COM-4     NFL.COM-6     ESPN-5     CBSSPORTS-9     FOXSPORTS-7

V. Shiancoe-Minnesota (38 rec. 375yds 8tds) @ Arizona

He is getting most of his action in the red zone which has produced him 8tds.

WEEKLY RANK@FANTASYFOOTBALL.COM-10     NFL.COM-8     ESPN-8     CBSSPORTS-5     FOXSPORTS-8

TE2

K. Boss-NY Giants (26 rec. 381yds 4tds) vs. Dallas

The health of Manning’s foot could cause the value of the Giants receivers to plummet.

WEEKLY RANK@FANTASYFOOTBALL.COM-11     NFL.COM-12     ESPN-11     CBSSPORTS-10     FOXSPORTS-18

J. Finley-Green Bay (27 rec. 339yds 1tds) vs. Baltimore

There may be too many weapons and not enough balls to go around.

WEEKLY RANK@FANTASYFOOTBALL.COM-21     NFL.COM-13     ESPN-16     CBSSPORTS-16     FOXSPORTS-14

Z. Miller-Oakland (39 rec. 568yds 2tds) vs. Pittsburgh

The benching of Russell couldn’t have come sooner for any pass catcher in Oakland.

WEEKLY RANK@FANTASYFOOTBALL.COM-14     NFL.COM-17     ESPN-17     CBSSPORTS-13     FOXSPORTS-22

J. Shockey-New Orleans (39 rec. 461yds 3tds) @ Washington

His production has seemed to dip lately with the arrival of Thomas into the passing game.

The Chiefs have given up big passing days to everyone, but Orton is still not a sure thing.

RB1

A.Peterson-Minnesota (1.084yds 12tds 27 rec. 233 rec. yds) @ Arizona

Peterson somehow has ended up the second option in Minnesota, but he is still poised to explode for 200.

WEEKLY RANK@FANTASYFOOTBALL.COM-7     NFL.COM-3     ESPN-3     CBSSPORTS-6     FOXSPORTS-2

R. Williams-Miami (792yds 11tds 20 rec. 212 rec. yds 2tds) vs. New England

The wildcat has lost some teeth without Brown, but that has still meant good things for R. William’s owners.

WEEKLY RANK@FANTASYFOOTBALL.COM-10     NFL.COM-10     ESPN-9     CBSSPORTS-20     FOXSPORTS-12

M. Jones-Drew-Jacksonville (1,001yds 13tds 41 rec. 273 rec. yds) vs. Houston

He will be looking to rebound from a less than spectacular performance last week.

WEEKLY RANK@FANTASYFOOTBALL.COM-5     NFL.COM-2     ESPN-2     CBSSPORTS-2     FOXSPORTS-1

C. Johnson-Tennessee (1,396yds 9tds 33 rec. 294 rec. yds 1 rec. td) @ Indianapolis

This guy gets one 80 yard td run per game anymore. How could you go wrong?

WEEKLY RANK@FANTASYFOOTBALL.COM-1     NFL.COM-1     ESPN-1     CBSSPORTS-1     FOXSPORTS-3

RB2

F. Gore-San Francisco (643yds 6tds 36 rec. 234 rec. yds 3 rec. tds) @ Seattle

He tore up Seattle for 200 plus earlier in the year, but the Seahawks are a different team at home

WEEKLY RANK@FANTASYFOOTBALL.COM-2     NFL.COM-5     ESPN-8     CBSSPORTS-9     FOXSPORTS-5

R. Rice-Baltimore (821yds 6tds 61 rec. 582 rec. yds 1 rec. td) @ Green Bay

Rice has been this year’s Brian Westbrook with all the action he is getting in the passing game

WEEKLY RANK@FANTASYFOOTBALL.COM-4     NFL.COM-7     ESPN-6     CBSSPORTS-11     FOXSPORTS-7

D. Williams-Carolina (1,022yds 7tds 26 rec. 234 rec. yds) vs. Tampa Bay

The Panthers will be even more determined to run with M. Moore taking over at QB, and this is a great matchup.

WEEKLY RANK@FANTASYFOOTBALL.COM-6     NFL.COM-4     ESPN-5     CBSSPORTS-3     FOXSPORTS-4

S. Jackson-St. Louis (1,120yds 4tds 40 rec. 258 rec. yds) @ Chicago

It seems like I say this every week, if he could just get TDs, he would be on top of the rankings.

RB3

J. Charles-Kansas City (406yds 2tds 26 rec. 215 rec. yds 1 rec. tds) vs. Denver

He has become the Chiefs #1 weapon with D. Bowe on suspension.

J. Forsett-Seattle (385yds 4tds 29 rec. 246 rec. yds) vs. San Francisco

How can they even consider starting J. Jones with Forsett playing the way he is.

WEEKLY RANK@FANTASYFOOTBALL.COM-9     NFL.COM-18     ESPN-21     CBSSPORTS-16     FOXSPORTS-24

L. McCoy-Philadelphia (528yds 3tds 27 rec. 206 rec. yds) @ Atlanta

It looks like he should be holding down this job for a while with Westbrook seeing more specialists.

WEEKLY RANK@FANTASYFOOTBALL.COM-19     NFL.COM-14     ESPN-13     CBSSPORTS-17     FOXSPORTS-19

K. Smith-Detroit (603yds 3tds 37 rec. 367 rec. yds 1 rec. tds) @ Cincinnati

The Bengals have been dominant on defense, but I can see Smith getting enough looks in the passing game.

WEEKLY RANK@FANTASYFOOTBALL.COM-26     NFL.COM-24     ESPN-26     CBSSPORTS-28     FOXSPORTS-31

WR1

R. Moss-New England (63 rec. 925yds 8tds) @ Miami

I am expecting a big game from Brady which means plenty of Mr. Moss.

WEEKLY RANK@FANTASYFOOTBALL.COM-2     NFL.COM-3     ESPN-2     CBSSPORTS-2     FOXSPORTS-1

R. Wayne-Indianapolis (79 rec. 987yds 9tds) vs. Tennessee

He has a tough matchup, but that doesn’t always stop Wayne from getting 100 and a TD.

WEEKLY RANK@FANTASYFOOTBALL.COM-1     NFL.COM-4     ESPN-3     CBSSPORTS-3     FOXSPORTS-2

A.Johnson-Houston (63 rec. 945yds 5tds) @ Jacksonville

He should be very dangerous this week with the Jaguars best CB on the shelf again.

WEEKLY RANK@FANTASYFOOTBALL.COM-5     NFL.COM-1     ESPN-1     CBSSPORTS-1     FOXSPORTS-4

L. Fitzgerald-Arizona (75 rec. 826yds 9tds) vs. Minnesota

He really suffered not having Warner last week, so keep an eye on his status.

WEEKLY RANK@FANTASYFOOTBALL.COM-3     NFL.COM-2     ESPN-6     CBSSPORTS-8     FOXSPORTS-3

WR2

V. Jackson-San Diego (49 rec. 815yds 7tds) @ Cleveland

Jackson is losing production like Rivers with the emerging defense and ground game.

WEEKLY RANK@FANTASYFOOTBALL.COM-10     NFL.COM-8     ESPN-7     CBSSPORTS-12     FOXSPORTS-7

D. Driver-Green Bay (53 rec. 845yds 5tds) vs. Baltimore

Driver just blew up on Thanksgiving Day, and he continues to be Rodgers favorite threat.

WEEKLY RANK@FANTASYFOOTBALL.COM-7     NFL.COM-16     ESPN-11     CBSSPORTS-14     FOXSPORTS-22

B. Marshall-Denver (58 rec. 714yds 6tds)  @ Kansas City

Has returned to last season’s form and continues to make great catches weekly.

WEEKLY RANK@FANTASYFOOTBALL.COM-6     NFL.COM-10     ESPN-9     CBSSPORTS-6     FOXSPORTS-11

S. Rice-Minnesota (56 rec. 964yds 4tds) @ Arizona

Even without top flight speed, Rice has been getting plenty of downfield opportunities.

WEEKLY RANK@FANTASYFOOTBALL.COM-13     NFL.COM-5     ESPN-5     CBSSPORTS-4     FOXSPORTS-9

WR3

C. Ochocinco-Cincinnati (53 rec. 773yds 5tds) vs. Detroit

A great matchup has him way up in the rankings, but this could be more of a Cedric Benson day.

WEEKLY RANK@FANTASYFOOTBALL.COM-4     NFL.COM-7     ESPN-4     CBSSPORTS-11     FOXSPORTS-5

D. Mason-Baltimore (52 rec. 734yds 5tds) @ Green Bay

He still got loads of targets from Flacco, even after they vowed to get more receivers involved last week.

WEEKLY RANK@FANTASYFOOTBALL.COM-19     NFL.COM-31     ESPN-23     CBSSPORTS-15     FOXSPORTS-21

M. Austin-Dallas (42 rec. 824yds 8tds) @ NY Giants

For some reason, I expect Romo to have a poor performance, because the Cowboys have too much to gain.

WEEKLY RANK@FANTASYFOOTBALL.COM-9     NFL.COM-9     ESPN-14     CBSSPORTS-9     FOXSPORTS-12

H. Ward-Pittsburgh (66 rec. 845yds 5tds) vs. Oakland

How much will the Steelers need or want to throw with Big Ben coming back from concussion?

WR4

M. Massaquoi-Cleveland (26 rec. 485yds 1td) vs. San Diego

Not much to cheer about in Cleveland, but they still have to play, and someone has to get some stats.

WEEKLY RANK@FANTASYFOOTBALL.COM-60     NFL.COM-NR     ESPN-NR     CBSSPORTS-NR     FOXSPORTS-62

A.Bryant-Tampa Bay (22 rec. 360yds 3tds) @ Carolina

Bryant caught fire at this point last season, but that was with a veteran QB.

WEEKLY RANK@FANTASYFOOTBALL.COM-40     NFL.COM-43     ESPN-40     CBSSPORTS-43     FOXSPORTS-57

D. Avery-St. Louis (34 rec. 466yds 5tds) @ Chicago

It won’t be as easy of a day for Avery as it was for the Vikings WRs last week.

M. Crabtree-San Francisco (26 rec. 346yds 1td)  @ Seattle

He is the second option behind V. Davis, but he has been catching about 4 balls a game

WEEKLY RANK@FANTASYFOOTBALL.COM-34     NFL.COM-28     ESPN-24     CBSSPORTS-24     FOXSPORTS-35

TE1

K. Winslow-Tampa Bay (54 rec. 564yds 5tds) @ Carolina

Having a very solid season despite a rookie QB plus A. Bryant’s return could free things up.

WEEKLY RANK@FANTASYFOOTBALL.COM-6     NFL.COM-9     ESPN-10     CBSSPORTS-6     FOXSPORTS-10

J. Witten-Dallas (59 rec. 588yds 1tds) @ NY Giants

Just depressing the amount of attention Witten gets from defenses in the red zone

WEEKLY RANK@FANTASYFOOTBALL.COM-5     NFL.COM-5     ESPN-6     CBSSPORTS-7     FOXSPORTS-4

G. Olsen-Chicago (47 rec. 448yds 6tds) vs. St. Louis

The best target for Cutler with this teams lack of any consistent WR threat.

WEEKLY RANK@FANTASYFOOTBALL.COM-4     NFL.COM-6     ESPN-5     CBSSPORTS-9     FOXSPORTS-7

V. Shiancoe-Minnesota (38 rec. 375yds 8tds) @ Arizona

He is getting most of his action in the red zone which has produced him 8tds.

WEEKLY RANK@FANTASYFOOTBALL.COM-10     NFL.COM-8     ESPN-8     CBSSPORTS-5     FOXSPORTS-8

TE2

K. Boss-NY Giants (26 rec. 381yds 4tds) vs. Dallas

The health of Manning’s foot could cause the value of the Giants receivers to plummet.

WEEKLY RANK@FANTASYFOOTBALL.COM-11     NFL.COM-12     ESPN-11     CBSSPORTS-10     FOXSPORTS-18

J. Finley-Green Bay (27 rec. 339yds 1tds) vs. Baltimore

We are raising the stakes here at The Big Ticket, and I am feeling a little like Willy freaking Wonka with our new 12X4 Ticket where players can win up to $1,000,000. That’s not all we have upped the prizes on our 10X4 ticket as well with an increase of ten times the previous jackpot amount. If you are not playing The Big Ticket, you are missing out on a very unique and profitable test of your fantasy football skills. Below is a preview of our 12X4 ticket for this Sunday-Monday , so sit down soak up the information and head on over to http://games.fantasyplanet.com/tickets for a chance at $1 MILLION.

Take note of the special Turkey Day 10X2 that includes Thanksgiving Games Only.

QB1   (Player; Team; Year-to-Date Stats; Opponent)

T. Brady-New England (3,049yds 20tds 6ints) @ New Orleans

The game of the year should have plenty of fantasy football points to go around.

P. Manning-Indianapolis (3,171yds 21tds 9ints) @ Houston

Manning’s stats have been less than expected lately, and Houston almost beat them a few weeks ago.

P. Rivers-San Diego (2,621yds 17tds 6ints) vs. Kansas City

The Chargers’ improvement in the running game, and on defensive have put the brakes on Rivers’ big games.

D. Brees-New Orleans (2,746yds. 22tds 9ints) vs. New England

Brees is going to be forced to throw the ball more than he has the last few games.

QB2

M. Ryan-Atlanta (2,276yds 16tds 12ints) vs. Tampa Bay

Ryan is getting more tds this season, but he is also racking up the ints, and Turner’s loss hurts the play action.

C. Palmer-Cincinnati (2,217yds 14tds 8ints)  vs. Cleveland

Palmer ran in two tds in what was a ugly loss to the Raiders, this week they face another stinker.

M. Hasselbeck-Seattle (1,853yds 11tds 7ints) @ St. Louis

The Rams are a team that is showing improvement on defense, so it isn’t a slam dunk to take Hasselbeck.

J. Cutler-Chicago (2,524yds 15tds 18ints) @ Minnesota

The Vikings tend to give up plenty of fantasy points to QBs in the 2nd half of games when playing with a lead.

QB3

J. Freeman-Tampa Bay (543yds 5tds 5ints) @ Atlanta

The Atlanta secondary has been awful lately and this rookie has some decent weapons.

B. Quinn-Cleveland (812yds 5tds 5ints) @ Cincinnati

Remember he was playing the lowly Lions last week when he put up those numbers.

V. Young-Tennessee (623yds 3tds 2ints) vs. Arizona

Too bad you don’t get bonus points for just winning, but this is fantasy, and wins don’t matter.

M. Cassel-Kansas City (1,720yds 12tds 6ints) @ San Diego

It was a very impressive effort from Cassel and the Chiefs to beat Pittsburgh, but I don’t know if they are good enough to start a streak.

RB1

A.Peterson-Minnesota (999yds 11tds 25 rec. 215 rec. yds) vs. Chicago

Peterson has enjoyed some huge days vs. Chicago, but Favre is stealing all the red zone opportunities.

S. Jackson-St. Louis (1,031yds 3tds 35 rec. 231 rec. yds) vs. Seattle

Has quietly worked his way up to the rushing leader in the NFC, but tds have been hard to come by.

M. Jones-Drew-Jacksonville (926yds 13tds 36 rec. 238 rec. yds) vs. San Francisco

Grant ran all over what was once a good defense, and Jones-Drew plays on a better running team.

C. Johnson-Tennessee (1,242yds 8tds 30 rec. 262 rec. yds 1 rec. td) vs. Indianapolis

The NFL’s leading rusher is showing no signs of slowing down, lookout Eric Dickerson.

RB2

F. Gore-San Francisco (610yds 6tds 29 rec. 220 rec. yds 2 rec. tds) @ Jacksonville

Gore tends to disappear when the 49ers are playing from behind, but they should be able to stay in this game.

R. Rice-Baltimore (733yds 6tds 56 rec. 515 rec. yds 1 rec. td) vs. Pittsburgh

Pittsburgh doesn’t allow anyone to rush for 100 yards, but Rice is a receiving threat as well.

D. Williams-Carolina (982yds 7tds 22 rec. 224 rec. yds) @ NY Jets

The Panthers will look to get the running game off to a quick start, since it is almost must win time.

R. Williams-Miami (677yds 8tds 20 rec. 212 rec. yds 2 rec. tds) @ Buffalo

He handled the full workload against Carolina very nicely, and Buffalo has issues stopping the run.

RB3

J. Addai-Indianapolis (514yds 7tds 37 rec. 243 rec. yds 3 rec. tds) @ Houston

Addai is a very good threat in our PPR scoring format in the explosive Colts’ attack.

T. Jones-NY Jets (884yds 8tds 6 rec. 49 rec. yds) vs. Carolina

This is a must win for both teams and both teams must run the ball to win.

R. Mendehall-Pittsburgh (689yds 4tds 14 rec. 119 rec. yds 1 rec. td) @ Baltimore

The Steelers sometimes forget they are most successful when they are a run first team.

L. Tomlinson-San Diego (458yds 6tds 9 rec. 40 rec. yds) vs. Kansas City

The old dog is banged up a bit, but he is finally scoring some fantasy points.

WR1

R. Moss-New England (63 rec. 925yds 8tds) @ New Orleans

Moss was held down last week, but Moss loves playing on Monday Night. Expect at least 1 long ball td.

R. Wayne-Indianapolis (76 rec. 968yds 8tds) @ Houston

With our PPR point system, you can never go wrong with Wayne even if he doesn’t score.

A.Johnson-Houston (58 rec. 878yds 5tds) vs. Indianapolis

He had a couple of very bad drops that cost the Texans, he will get redemption with a big performance against Indy.

L. Fitzgerald-Arizona (71 rec. 792yds 9tds) @ Tennessee

Warner’s status will go a very long way in determining his value.

WR2

V. Jackson-San Diego (47 rec. 788yds 7tds) vs. Kansas City

The Chiefs’ secondary will make a great cure for a slow couple of weeks for Jackson.

M. Colston-New Orleans (44 rec. 687yds 6tds) vs. New England

The football is going to be flying around the field, and there is no reason to think Colston won’t be a main target

S. Smith-Carolina (45 rec. 599yds 4tds)  @ NY Jets

Smith is going to be facing D. Revis this Sunday which will be a tough task.

H. Ward-Pittsburgh (63 rec. 798yds 5tds) @ Baltimore

The Steelers may look to give Roethlisberger a light work load this week after his concussion and the loss of backup C. Batch.

WR3

S. Rice-Minnesota (50 rec. 875yds 4tds) vs. Chicago

He has been the greatest benefactor of Favre’s arrival and constant single coverage due to A. Peterson.

D. Mason-Baltimore (45 rec. 672yds 4tds) vs. Pittsburgh

He was all over the field against Indy last week and Mason knows they are getting into must win games now.

TJ Houshmanzadeh-Seattle (54 rec. 618yds 3tds) @ St. Louis

The entire Seattle team couldn’t get worse than the performance in Minnesota.

A.Boldin-Arizona (51 rec. 612yds 2tds) @ Tennessee

The healthier he gets the more dangerous the Cardinals become, but Warner must stay healthy.

WR4

M. Massaquoi-Cleveland (25 rec. 473yds 1td) @ Cincinnati

Massaquoi’s stats should be better under Quinn than the disaster Andersen was.

P. Harvin-Minnesota (36 rec. 501yds 4tds) vs. Chicago

Anyone can be a threat to score with Favre, and the Bears will have a hard time slowing down the Vikes.

D. Avery-St. Louis (30 rec. 418yds 4tds) vs. Seattle

We will have to see how he does without Bulger which will mean K. Boller.

M. Crabtree-San Francisco (22 rec. 292yds 1td)  @ Jacksonville

Grabbed his first td pass of his career, and he is already gaining the confidence of his QB.

TE1

V. Davis-San Francisco (51 rec. 601yds 8tds) @ Jacksonville

Singletary has turned Davis into a top five TE and the leader in tds for all TEs.

A.Gates-San Diego (52 rec. 709yds 2tds) vs. Kansas City

Kansas City has given up some very big passing days to opposing offenses and the Chargers are getting hot.

G. Olsen-Chicago (40 rec. 403yds 6tds) @ Minnesota

He is Cutler’s only reliable target and the Vikings will allow fantasy points after getting this game in hand.

D. Clark-Indianapolis (65 rec. 771yds 4tds) @ Houston

The leader amongst TEs in receptions that has too good of a QB to have many bad games, if any.

TE2

K. Winslow-Tampa Bay (47 rec. 483yds 5tds) @ Atlanta

His value is on the upswing with addition of the rookie Freeman which usually means the opposite.

B. Celek-Philadelphia (50 rec. 568yds 5tds) vs. Washington

The better L. McCoy play the more room Celek will find over the middle in play action.

V. Shiancoe-Minnesota (33 rec. 324yds 7tds) vs. Chicago

After a slow start, Shiancoe has become a favorite red zone target of Favres.

J. Shockey-New Orleans (39 rec. 461yds 3tds) vs. New England

Brees will throw 3 tds on Monday which is one for Colston and the other’s split the rest. Is it Shockey’s turn? I lost track.

Now that you have a good idea about the suspects, it is time to get into the game. If you are still not sure, take a look at all the ways to win below in our three tickets sizes. The harder the ticket the more you can win, but this is the only weekly game where ALL your entries can WIN.

Our Apologies — The Big Ticket

Saturday, November 14th, 2009

I’m sure you’re wondering why there are only a few tickets remaining for this week’s Big Ticket when you visit the website. We wanted to offer our apologies to those of you who play The Big Ticket religiously… we are working hard to get those original tickets back up on the website, but I’m not sure if it’s going to be possible before the kickoff of Sunday’s games. You’ll notice there are still two tickets you can participate in, but the majority of them have disappeared. Don’t worry, if you had entered a ticket BEFORE Thursday’s games, your ticket (and money) IS NOT LOST and those tickets will be scored accordingly. But for those of you looking to enter one of those tickets in the next 24 hours, you might be out of luck (FOR THIS WEEK ONLY). Again, please accept our apologies.

PERFECTION ACHIEVED

Wednesday, November 11th, 2009

The Big Ticket has finally awarded a PERFECT 10/10 Ticket, but it wasn’t just one winning ticket, we had two perfect tickets. Both winners were playing Ticket #96 Late Games, which also rewarded a 9/10 entry, when they hit the required 10 for 10 to win 100X their entry fee. Congratulations to User: ebreezy for winning $500 on his $5 ticket, and User: davix03 for his $100 winning ticket on just $1.

Ok, they proved it could be done, now is there anyone else out there with the fantasy football skills to achieve perfection. Play every week as many times as you want. The tickets for week 10 are ready and available at http://games.fantasyplanet.com/tickets.

Take a look below at the cash prizes that can be won only at the The Big Ticket.
